Back to back hooded chimney system suitable for timber frame, steel frame, ICF (insulated concrete
formwork) and masonry construction. This detail enables two chimneys to be constructed on either
side of a party wall when a corbel is not required. The prefabricated finished sleeve replaces the
need to plaster the chimney stack. The finished sleeve slides down over the prefabricated masonry
block and acts as a counter flashing as it sits over the lead apron. This finish helps the builder keep
his roof clean as there is no need for wet trade when finishing the chimney stack. This design allows
both chimneys to be built without breaking into the party wall.
